			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A new study from Lux Research suggests that while 2012 will be a dismal year for the solar industry the following three will see significant growth.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>After the world installed 26.5 gigawatts of solar in 2011, this year’s 0.4 gigawatts will seem like nothing and industry revenues will drop $110 billion to a paltry $92 billion.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>But there is a silver lining, said research analyst Matt Feinstein.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>“We think demand will rise and will continue to grow,” he said. “The short of it is that a few very important European markets are going to decline, but a whole bunch of smaller markets are going to be ramping up.”</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Lux forecasts that the <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><a href="http://www.cleanenergyauthority.com/solar-energy-news/asian-demand-good-for-top-10-solar-producers-032612/">world will install 38.3 gigawatts of solar power in 2017</a></span>.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>The lull in 2012 is the result of the market shifting gears, he said.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>“We’re really seeing the change right now,” he said.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Most of the growth will be in smaller Asian markets, he said. But there is also significant activity in other emerging markets, like Brazil, where countries are taking legislative action today that will get the ball rolling in the next few years.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>“I really think 2013 to 2015 is the window,” Feinstein said. “That’s when those Asian countries and up-and-coming markets – and there are a ton of them – are really going to ramp up.”</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>The<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><a href="http://www.cleanenergyauthority.com/solar-energy-news/new-report-shows-u-s-solar-industry-grew-69-percent-092111/"> United States will also have a place in solar industry growth</a></span>, Feinstein said. “The states will be important, especially for financing,” he said. “But the real volume is going to be in those Asian markets.”</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>The report also notes that utility-scale development will grow.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>And there is a chance that the same oversupply that plagues the market today and cuts into profit margins will persist as the market grows and new manufacturers clamor for their piece of the pie.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>China’s five-year plan calls for a major expansion in solar capacity, which will continue to apply downward pressure on panel prices, according to the report.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Even with that, Feinstein said the coming years could be solar’s glory days.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>“I think 2013 to 2015 could be a really optimistic time for the solar industry,” he said.</p>

<p>Our clients new mixed-use development project based in Shanghai will consist of 900,230 square meters of residential, commercial and retail space on 66 acres of land in one of the fastest growing neighborhoods and education hubs in Shanghai.  This district boasts various unique amenities including abundant open space, excellent transportation infrastructure and a high density of schools as well as cohesive city planning.  Phase I of the project, which began in June 2011, consists of 180,250 square meters of residential and supporting retail space, while future phases will consist of 719,980 square meters of commercial and retail space.</p>

<h3><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Position Description</span></h3>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Located in Shanghai, China and reporting to the Design &amp; Construction Country Head, the Project Director functions as a Senior Executive for on Design &amp; Construction projects, including mixed-use developments. The Project Director is a high-level Design and Construction professional who will lead and direct all aspects of the design and construction process for the entire development. He/she is ultimately responsible for creating and implementing the vision to build world class developments in China.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>The key responsibility of the Project Director is to achieve maximum value creation by leading a team of skilled real estate and construction professionals to develop a strong design concept and execution strategy for the development and construction of prominent, sustainable and commercially viable projects. The Project Director must demonstrate hands-on leadership in all horizontal and vertical design and construction functions, and is the driving force in building and nurturing a sustainable organization for the successful development of the project and future developments in Shanghai.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>The Project Director must be familiar with the real estate development process in China, and will act as our client’s principal representative in orchestrating the administration and liaison with our contracting partners and consultants, as well as establishing relationships with the local authorities/agencies/government. The Project Director will have the responsibility to ensure that overall design and construction objectives are developed and implemented, and will collaborate with the Development team to achieve targeted returns.</p>

<p style="padding-left: 30px;">Provide effective leadership, motivation, direction, and control to the Project Team, contractors, construction managers and the construction team at large, including architects, engineers, consultants and the trades.</p>

<p style="padding-left: 60px;">Provide leadership during the pre-construction and construction phases to assure that all development, from a design and construction point-of-view, is completed on time, on budget and within pre-determined standards of quality.</p>

<p style="padding-left: 60px;">Plan and execute the procurement of design team and construction services, including RFP development, scope development, tendering/bidding, negotiating and contract development and execution.</p>

<p>Work Experience &amp; Abilities Required:</p>

<p style="padding-left: 30px;">Minimum of fifteen (15) years of significant design and construction management experience in managing and supervising the design/approval/construction/initial operation of large mixed-use and high-end projects with some exposure to the business aspects of the development process. Worked on at least one high-end, complex project with gross area greater than 100,000 sqm.</p>

<p style="padding-left: 30px;">Strong ability to create, implement, and monitor all construction schedules and control systems, policies, procedures, systems and standards.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">Demonstrated understanding of all aspects of commercial and/or residential real estate construction process in China, fast-track construction methods, cost estimation, and prime/subcontractor level of cost detail tracking; possesses skills and understanding in financial controls with a bottom-line profit orientation.</p>

<p style="padding-left: 30px;">Familiarity with government field inspection requirements and local codes for various building design requirements including residential, commercial, service apartments and retail.</p>

<h3><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Position Description</span></h3>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Located in Shanghai, China and reporting to the Project Director, the Senior Design Manager is responsible for the Design Management function at a program or large project level, which is considered to be one of the most important functions to a successful project execution.  The position involves providing strong leadership and hands-on execution normally commencing in the early pre-construction phase and continuing through execution of the project.  The Senior Design Manager will work closely with the Project Team and the core group of Design &amp; Construction in order to successfully complete the project.  In addition, the Senior Design Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for local design and consultant team members and coordinate with our client’s core team at their American HQ and international consultant team members.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Summary of Key Responsibilities:</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">Provide leadership to drive internal approval of the design development/deliverables, in collaboration with the Project Developer, the D &amp; C Project Director and the core group of Design &amp; Construction, and other project team stakeholders, beginning in the concept phase and through to completion of construction documentation.</p>

<p style="padding-left: 30px;">Assist the Development Manager in the formulation of the project program.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 60px;">Generate alternative design concepts, massing studies, and test fits for the project site based on code and zoning requirement reviews.</p>

<p style="padding-left: 30px;">Work with the core group of Design &amp; Construction and Project Director to thoroughly understand pro forma assumptions and planning criteria in order to manage the delivery of the design to the approved project budget and schedule.</p>

<p style="padding-left: 30px;">Collaborate with internal stakeholders/subject matter experts from HQ in managing the Design Team during the Concept Design and Schematic Design phases of a project.</p>

<p style="padding-left: 30px;">Ideally possess 10 &#8211; 20 years of ever-expanding and significant achievement as a successful developer/constructor, preferably of office and/or mixed-use projects.  Background should emphasize planning, feasibility, economic implications, design and construction, and if possible, a sense for finance, origination and marketing.  Preferably, he will have been associated, for at least 5 years, with a major international real estate developer and/or constructor.</p>

<p>While poly silicon and wafer manufacturing capacities are still the main contributor to the revenue stream, the company is strongly pursuing to set its position as a project developer, owner and operator following a “build-own-transfer” business model.  This strategic move necessitates a broader presence in the most relevant markets, particularly in Europe and in North America.  To ensure future growth plans and to stabilize and increase its market position, a Sales and Marketing team with presence in all relevant markets will be built up.</p>

<p>For Europe, the most important position of Managing Director Europe will be filled first.  The future incumbent will build his team to contribute to the continued success story of the company.</p>

<p>Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Managing Director for their European business that is knowledgeable about deploying photovoltaic projects including project execution, financing, and selling which includes deal structuring.  This individual will leading the build-up of the entire European team and establish a strong organization by building and leading strong cross regional teams around Europe and by developing and maintaining long term relationships with key stake holders.</p>

<p>The Project Executive functions as a principal senior project manager in the D&amp;C Department and is responsible for leading and facilitating all aspects of the design and construction process for any given project, and for building out the project on time, on budget and within pre-established quality parameters.</p>
